Welcome to the blog. Almost daily I'm hit up by off shore companies looking for us to send them work in SEO and web development. Some of the letters are pretty good and some of them are pretty bad. This blog is my repository of spam emails. I don't expect anyone to ever read it but I thought it would be fun to see how many we can accumulate over time and how many different variations of these emails there are. Welcome to Off Shore Spam- How can we help you?

I got a similar onw from same guy this week.
ReplyDeleteI also get bogus texts all the time.
I think they are phishing so they can steal our identity...
Recieved the same except for email address: mardambay420@gmail.com and no phone number on mine.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Just came across this page while searching for the "person" above. I've received a few similar requests over the past several months, and the above message landed this morning. When I've responded in the past, I've either gotten silence or 1-2 responses where they seem to really want my cell phone number, which I never give out (I have a company phone # for that). I had been suspecting due to the mysteriousness of the requests that they weren't legitimate, but I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't be. Even now I'm not sure what their motive is, but I'll skip responding to this one in any case.
ReplyDeleteYep, at least one of the other inquiries follows the same pattern, asking whether we accept credit cards. Here's what they're doing, in case you didn't know: http://wolfcreekwebdesign.com/post/Scam-Targets-Web-Designers
ReplyDeleteI got an email like this from same person...

Thanks for the propmt response. I need you to check out this site but i need something more perfect than this if its possible .http://www.agroamerica.com…. the site would only be informational, so i need you to give me an estimate based on the site i gave you to check out, the estimate should include hosting and i want the same page as the site i gave you to check out and i have a private project consultant, he has the text content and the logos for the site. Note: 1. I want the same number of pages with the example site i gave you to check excluding videos and blogs. 2. I want only English language 3. I don’t have a domain yet but i want the domain name as Farmsproducts.net 4. you will be updating the site for me. 5. i will be proving the images, logos and content for the site. 6. i want the site up and running before ending of next month. 7. My Budget is $3500 to $6000
Kindly get back to me with:(1) an estimate
